The layouts operate for the public on special events days of the   Midland Railway Centre.

Layouts

At present the club has 2 layouts.

1, at '00 gauge layout' for the operation of members rolling stock. period general BR from the 1960s but can & will run up to modern day stock if members wish.

2, Under construction is a 7 mm fine scale layout to help promote the premier gauge with our members & learn new skills.

Skills from members are not just the model railway but electrics , scenery, painting combining  in an exhibition standard model railway. (well you can judge this)

The club several years ago attended many local exhibitions with their fine work but now these layouts are permanently based at Butterley.

The layouts are built for our enjoyment & that of the public on our open days promoting this fine hobby.

So if visiting the Midland Railway Centre & we have our door open please drop in & view our work. (The guard dog at the door, is not always present)
